In the foreground of a cityscape—perhaps Piazza del Popolo in Rome—two satyrs dressed in carnival attire form the diagonals of the letter "M" using a sword and a crutch. Their four legs are all different: one is human with a sock, another is goat-like, one wears a stocking, and the last is a stump.
